My Background
I have always been obsessed with all things fantasy and fae, and the creation of art was a constant through my entire life. During the mid 2000s I found myself working at the Costume Shoppe in Asheville, NC. I was surrounded by highly creative people making and selling incredible costumes and found a gap in what we were offering. At the
I have always been obsessed with all things fantasy and fae, and the creation of art was a constant through my entire life. During the mid 2000s I found myself working at the Costume Shoppe in Asheville, NC. I was surrounded by highly creative people making and selling incredible costumes and found a gap in what we were offering. At the time there was no one making and selling high quality feather wings. I gave it a try and it became an immediate obsession.
My Medium
All of my wings are carefully handcrafted with a variety of feathers, from pheasant, to rooster, goose and peacock. Occasionally i have the privilege to create wings from more exotic birds such as macaws! My frames are all created using fabric and wire to make them both sturdy and posable.

Over the years I've found inspired by an increasingly long list of movies- Legend, Willow, Moulin Rouge, Beetlejuice, Marie Antoinette, Romeo + Juliette just to name a few. I love all things feathered, and glittering and brightly colored and gold, and it shows in my work!
